U.S. Coronavirus Infections Hit Another Daily Record - WSJ

Coronavirus cases continued to surge in the U.S., as Florida reported another record-breaking number of new confirmed infections on Saturday, the second day in a row that it broke such a record.

Florida, Texas, California and Arizona have accounted for much of the recent rise in cases, prompting authorities to impose new restrictions in those states and reverse their reopenings.

Citing an “abundance of caution,” the Trump campaign postponed events Vice President Mike Pence was to appear at Tuesday in Tucson, Ariz., and Thursday in Sarasota, Fla.

Washington state is now pushing off its reopening. Gov. Jay Inslee said that the Washington State Department of Health is pausing any county in the state from moving to phase four of the reopening process, citing concerns about continued spread of the virus.
